The Connecticut General Assembly is back in Hartford for its 2025 legislative session, which will run through June 4 at midnight.
Gov. Ned Lamont kicked off the session with his State of the State address. Legislators are expected to introduce thousands of bills on everything from drones to studying the sale of wine in grocery stores.
Attorney General William Tong says he wants to know what the governor plans on doing in the next couple of years and what his priorities are.
Democrats hold majorities in both the House and Senate.
State Sen. Kevin Kelly from Stratford is leaving the General Assembly. He's reportedly being nominated as a Superior Court judge by the governor.
Lamont will join News 12 Connecticut's Mark Sudol this Saturday afternoon at 4:30 and Sunday morning at 11:30 only on News 12's Power & Politics. Click here to ask the governor your questions.
