Controversy is brewing in the town of Darien over a proposed senior condo complex.
If approved, the development would be located on Nearwater Lane. The condos would be in two different buildings, not far from the water and in a residential neighborhood. People who live in the area say the project just doesn't fit.
The development would have a total of 20 units on just more than one acre. Developer Christopher Stefanoni says because six of the units will be affordable housing, it falls under the affordable housing statute, which allows more development in a smaller space.
There is no word on when a decision will be made.
