Police surrounded a Norwalk house Friday after getting a call that they say turned out to be a false alarm, but a neighbor insists there is illegal activity going on in the home.
Police were called to a house on South Main Street after hearing a man inside had a gun. When they arrived, they found nothing.
One neighbor couldn?t believe no one was arrested because he says a prostitution ring is run out of the house. He says many people live in the home?s three apartments and a steady stream of prostitutes go in and out frequently.
The neighbor says it has been going on for three years, and that he knows the man in charge of the operation, an immigrant from El Salvador.
Norwalk Police Chief Harry Rilling said he had no knowledge that anything of the sort was going on at the address.
