A Stamford man accused of robbing a gas station and a bank was arrested Friday.

Forty-one-year-old Craig Frasca, of Stamford, was caught on surveillance video robbing the People's Bank branch on Shippan Avenue Tuesday, police said. According to investigators, Frasca handed the teller a note and left with less than $500.

"Just because someone touches something doesn't mean they're going to leave a print, but luckily he did not wear gloves," Stamford Police Officer Cory Caserta said. "It's right in the video from all of the banks, he's holding the note with his bare hands and his stupidity helped us catch him."

Officials said Frasca has a crack addiction. This is Frasca's 14th arrest in the past 15 years, with charges including robbery and disorderly conduct, police said.

On Monday, police said Frasca robbed a gas station at the intersection of Hope and Church streets.

Frasca, who police said has confessed to both robberies, is being held on $505,000 bail.
