A woman spotted a coyote Monday morning while walking her dog at Selleck's Woods in Darien.

She says they were able to turn around and walk away unharmed.

The state's Department of Energy & Environmental Protection recommends that people who encounter a coyote should attempt to frighten the animal away by making loud noises and acting aggressively.
