Three people and two dogs were rescued from an early‑morning house fire on Woodmere Road in Stamford, according to the Stamford Fire Department.

Officials say there were two possible injuries, and victims were transported to the hospital.

Crews arrived to find intense flames but were able to knock the fire down quickly.

The Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
