Crews extinguish fire at Stratford Dollar Tree
The Stratford Fire department would like to reminds residents to have working smoke detectors and escape plans for residential homes.

Stratford fire crews responded Friday afternoon to a fire at the Dollar Tree on Ferry Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officials say crews found the source of the fire and brought it under control within 35 minutes.
No other structures were damaged.
"The Stratford Fire department would like to remind our residents to have working smoke detectors, regularly practice an escape plan for residential homes, evacuate occupancies with alarms sounding and call 911 immediately upon observation of smoke or fire," the Stratford Fire Department said in a statement.
