CT accountants crunch numbers to complete taxes by new deadline
? Connecticut accountants are working overtime to finish taxes with extra time left to file.
Accountant Ray Abramson says he is working his way through returns and is confident the stack will be gone by Monday. The IRS extended the April 15 tax deadline to April 17 because the day falls on Saturday this year. Accountant Nicholas DuBiago still says he?s aiming to complete his customers? returns by Saturday, regardless of the extra time.
Last-minute tax filers who complete their own returns can get them postmarked by the due date at automated postal centers.
