Connecticut has joined the legal battle surrounding the U.S. Postal Service.
Connecticut Attorney General William Tong says he is moving forward with a multistate lawsuit against the operational changes at the USPS ahead of the November election.
The Trump administration is accused of making politically motivated moves to cut funding and remove equipment.
The postmaster general announced Tuesday those changes will be paused until after the election.
A vote is scheduled in the House of Representatives on a bill to fund the mail service.
Rep. Jim Himes said, "You cannot make dramatic changes immediately before an election when there is a high probability of causing people's votes not to count."
