On Monday, Connecticut Attorney General William Tong announced he is suing seven businesses for selling illegal cannabis.
Tong says this comes after a long investigation with multiple visits to these stores.
He says the owners were warned multiple times to stop selling these products but did not comply.
The lawsuit includes Shark Wholesale Corp in Bridgeport.
Stores are being sued and fined for selling high-THC delta-8 and delta-9 edibles.
Tong says he has no intention in interfering with the adult regulated cannabis market as long as the law is being followed.
