Some homeowners in southwestern Connecticut who are facing eviction are trying to educate the public about how to avoid foreclosure.
Two residents in Stratford who are both facing foreclosure say they have been the victims of a predatory lending practice known as "robo-signing," where lenders sell large numbers of mortgages without getting proper authorization from the individual homeowners.
Federal officials say thousands of people are victimized every year by the practice, which often rises to the level of mortgage fraud.
