CT house passes bill to keep handguns inside safe in car
The state House has passed a law requiring gun owners to keep firearms inside a safe when traveling in vehicles.
The decision comes one day after "Ethan's Law" passed, which requires unloaded guns to be secured inside a safe at home if kids are present.
The new law would not apply to rifles or assault weapons and handguns can still be kept locked inside the truck of a vehicle.  The bill will now move to the senate.
