Connecticut is facing a severe shortage of ambulance providers.
In an effort to provide relief, Connecticut Legislature's Public Health Committee has advanced a bill that would force insurance carriers to pay the full authorized state rate for ambulance services.
Currently, many carriers negotiate the rate down.
