350ds agoGov. Ned Lamont and United Illuminating announced an agreement designed to stabilize electric bills for thousands of homes and businesses.
Lamont says the state has agreed to give UI a $46 million "credit" from its share of federal COVID-19 relief money.
In return, UI will not seek to raise its base distribution rate until May of 2023.
The last time the company raised its distribution rate was 2019.
