The officer killed when an NYPD van crashed in the Bronx over the weekend may not have been wearing his seat belt.
According to the Daily News, Officer Michael Williams was not buckled in when he was ejected from the vehicle on the Bruckner Expressway.
Eight other officers were injured in the accident, and the newspaper reports that many of them were also not wearing their seat belts. Four are still recovering in the hospital.
A viewing for Williams will be held upstate on Wednesday, followed by his funeral on Thursday.
