People headed out to some beaches in Darien this weekend are being told to swim at their own risk.
Park directors say they are down about 13 lifeguards for the next couple of weekends. Since most of the lifeguards are headed back to college, beach officials are urging parents to keep a watchful eye on their kids at the beach.
While lifeguards will be posted Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Weed Beach, those headed to Pear Tree Point Beach are on their own.
Public notices are posted at the gate and on lifeguard chairs at the beaches without guards.
