Police are still on the hunt for the men who allegedly tried to force their way into a Darien home Tuesday morning.

Police say three men, two of which were armed with handguns, demanded entry into a home off Old Kings Highway in Darien just after 1 a.m. When the homeowner saw the men through a window, he was able to call the police from another room. He says the men were dressed in hooded sweatshirts and were holding firearms.

Darien police believe the house may have been targeted because of its close proximity to the highway. The suspects are said to have fled in an older model Oldsmobile, Volvo or Lincoln.
