Howard Reed, principal of Garfield Elementary died Tuesday morning of Legionnaires' disease.Bridgeport School District officials informed students of Reed?s diagnosis last week. On Tuesday afternoon, just days later, they informed Reed?s young students that their principal had passed away.
Reed was treated at Yale New Haven Hospital. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.Related Information:
