On Deep Dive this week, we are looking at COVID-19 vaccination rates among young people in Connecticut. Caleb Silver is the editor-in-chief of Investopedia, and he looked at data to break down the numbers.
Silver says Connecticut is doing a good job of vaccinating its teens ahead of the school year.
Silver says 63.2% of Fairfield County teens between 12 and 18 have been vaccinated.
In New Haven County only 53%, Hartford has vaccinated 52.4% of its teens and Litchfield right around 50.3%.
He says Connecticut has the highest teen vaccine rate in the tri-state area.
Silver says 63.8% of the total population is vaccinated in Fairfield County which has among the lowest cases of COVID-19 in the state.
