A deer ran into a car and went through the windshield Friday on Route 8.
Police say the driver was able to keep control of her car and pulled over to the right shoulder.
No one was seriously injured.
State police have a few reminders in case you ever encounter a deer, such as slowing down when passing yellow animal-crossing signs.
Deer accidents usually take place during dusk and dawn, and deer tend to wander in groups so if you see one crossing the road assume there's at least one more.
Most importantly, don't swerve to avoid deer or other wildlife.
