Jury deliberations began Thursday in the trial of the New Canaan man and former White House attorney accused of trying to kill his wife.
Police say John Michael Farren choked and brutally beat his wife, Mary Margaret Farren, with a metal flashlight in their home in 2010.
While Farren was anticipating a verdict Thursday, the jury asked to hear some of the testimony again from Mary Margaret Farren.
Farren's attorneys say his behavior may have been an emotional response to the fact that he had been served with divorce papers.
The jury is now expected to return a verdict Friday. If convicted, Farren could spend up to 30 years behind bars.
