The most recent death brings the total this flu season to five. All of the deaths involved people over the age of 65.
Overall, the reports of flu-like illnesses were up last week compared to the week before, with 75 total hospitalizations.
Last flu season, 87 flu-related deaths were reported, down from 175 reported in the previous season.
