A Bridgeport developer says he's exploring the idea of turning the Trumbull Gardens Housing Project into a co-op.
James Dancy says when residents have an ownership stake in a community, it tends to be safer, cleaner, and more valuable.
Dancy says he was the property manager at Trumbull Gardens when the development was called Beardsley Terrace, and he wants the ongoing violence there to stop.
He says if the complex does become a co-op, residents and local leaders will have to initiate the process.
