My Polish friend Mark Sudall, he's in Wilton where we picked up 13.8 inches. Mark, how is it out there? Yakshimash, I'm getting my AMS seal right after this. I'm gonna work on that. Hey, Roddick, yeah, we are outside Thunderbolt 12, keeping an eye on the roads and keeping you safe this morning. Want to show you what's going on out here for conditions, Roddick and everybody. 18 degrees is what Thunderbolt 12 is telling us. That wind chill is dipping down a little bit, makes it feel even colder. It is cold. The roads are a little slippery. Uh, you see Route 7 here, uh, Danbury Road. We're in the uh Kent Center Plaza here. And uh just take it slow. I will say the crews have done a phenomenal job with these roads and you see uh crews here now in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot here as well trying to clear things out as the cleanup now begins. Some light flurries are falling here right now and I did speak to Wilton the police here. Recently, they said this morning that really they, they, they did OK. No power outages. They said no major incidents on the roadways at all. I did talk to one of the plow guys that came in and asked him. I said, how's it going? He said, it sucks. And the poor guy said he has been out since 10 o'clock yesterday morning and has not slept. So he was getting a coffee here. He's not sure how much longer he's going to be out, but boy. You got to feel for some of these guys who are out here trying to clean up all this mess, that is for sure. And uh yeah, I mean, think about it, we haven't had this kind of snow since about 2013 when there were upwards of 36 inches of snow in the. State of Connecticut, a lot less this time, but still people aren't ready to uh be in these kind of conditions. So I want to toss it over to my buddy Greg Thompson. He is in Fairfield right now. Greg, uh, what's going on over there? Yeah, what is up, Mark? We are outside the service area here on I-95 North in Fairfield, and now, you know, Chicago, Boston, not just two great classic rock bands, also the driving route for my guy Joe right here who I just met. So you're going from Chicago to Boston. I guess what is it like out there? Well, Chicago is cold, but the roads were terrible. I had to pull over and spend at least a couple of nights, and the roads are still bad, but I'm from Boston and I'm hoping to get there sometime today. Yeah, so how long have you been driving for? Obviously pulling over right now to take a break. How long have you been going for out there on 95? Well, normally it takes me about a day, but I'm into my 4th day now. And so what, what are the conditions? Obviously we were just driving up kind of going the opposite direction. We were sliding around a little bit. What are you seeing out there in your car? Well, luckily I have a, I have a truck and I have a 4 wheel drive, but still there's just a lot of, you know, I'm one of the few people that is driving or was driving. Yeah, so right now what do we got? I, I would have assumed a hot cup of coffee, but that, that is not the play for you right here. It's hot water because I'm going to use this to port on my windshield to melt the ice. Oh, so were you, were you pulled over full, were you taking a little nap over here now? I did go inside to just relax and, and get one of those massages, but, uh, and then maybe grab an English muffin and hopefully that'll hold me over. Just 2 more hours to go. I said, what were you looking forward to more, the massage of that English muffin? Well, to relax, the massage, yeah. Yeah, definitely a little bit of both. Now once you're out there, obviously like you said, you've got the truck, you're going along well. I know sometimes the conditions like this, other drivers are what you need to watch out for just as much as anything else. What are you seeing from the other people, the few other people out on the road that you're? Well, whenever a vehicle is near me, I try to move over a little bit and uh drive defensively in case someone slips. All right, so good advice out there. Hopefully good luck the rest of the way. Hopefully it does only take 2 hours for you. Enjoy, enjoy the English muff and enjoy the heat back inside there. Thanks for joining us. Till then, we are in Fairfield right now. Look at airport delays and cancellations this morning. Bradley Airport, 4 flights have been delayed so far and 52 flights in total have been canceled. Taking a look at Tweed New Haven, they're reporting 1 delay and 1 cancellation, and if you are set to fly out of JFK this morning, be sure to check your flight status because look, 45 delays and 439 cancellations. Now if LaGuardia is where you're leaving from, a pretty similar situation there, check your status as well, because look, 18 delays as of now and 410 cancellations. We'll update these numbers as well throughout the morning.

The UConn campus is closed this morning. Students can look forward to canceled classes. However, online and hybrid courses may be held at the discretion of professors, so you wanna check in before you clock out for the day. UConn Health will remain open.

And while some people stayed inside during Sunday's snowstorm and others waited until nighttime to walk around, North Stanford's Cody Heisinger had a very, very different idea. He packed his skis in his car and headed downtown. Heisinger says he tries to do. And every time it snows, mainly as a way to just get out the house, but also because it's a lot of fun and after making his way around some of the parks during the day, he says he heads into the busier areas trying to stick to the sidewalks as he skis his way to pick up some dinner. I love any chance to get out and enjoy the snow, you know, Stanford's been doing a great job clearing, but there's still a lot of room for us to have some fun. Now while Heisinger says he does it alone, based on the number of people who come up to him, he says he'd be up for a group outing next time it snows.
