A disabled man in Stamford has an item on his Christmas wish list that he says would help him get around without as much of a struggle.
Harold Novak has multiple sclerosis. He says it used to be easier to get around before an accident destroyed his motorized wheelchair.
Novak was hit by a car in front of his home two years ago and pinned underneath, along with his wheelchair.
Since then, Novak and his wife say they've been getting the runaround from different insurance agencies. They say no one will replace his motorized wheelchair.
All Novak has now is a walker and an old wheelchair that he says the senior center lets him use, but it doesn't work well.
He and his wife say they just want someone to listen to them and help him live a mobile life again.
News 12 on Thursday received a call from a viewer saying they want to give Novak a motorized wheelchair.
