Lawmakers at the state capitol Friday were tackling sex trafficking.
Domestic violence groups urged lawmakers to ban hourly motel rooms, which are sometimes used for prostitution.
"These trafficking organizations basically rely on ignorant hotel operators to help them facilitate their trafficking rings," said Ashley Repar, with the Center for Children's Advocacy.
The bill would also make it easier for stalking victims to get a protective order in court.
