More than 20 neighbors in East Norwalk were stunned Tuesday after finding the tires on their cars had been slashed overnight.
Police say Dairy Farm Road was one area where cars were found with tires slashed. Police say they received numerous calls Monday night and Tuesday morning from residents who had their tires slashed.
In addition to Dairy Farm Road, tires were slashed on Jersey Lane, William Street, Strawberry Hill Avenue, Katy Lane and Heather Lane. Police say they are investigating a total of 22 slashing incidents.
Police say it's generally a quiet area with not a lot of criminal activity. Neighbors were shocked by what happened.
"This neighborhood is the best. I love it," says Reaso Mateo. "I've been here 15 years. I love it here."
Police are asking anyone with surveillance video that caught something or anyone with information about what happened to call 203-854-3160.
