Chris Thomas has taken part in more than 100 triathlons, and now the Easton man has been named the Male Tri-athlete of the Year by Timex.
In 2000, Thomas says he found his passion for triathlons - a rigorous marathon of running, swimming and biking.
"What I enjoy about the sport is finding out my personal limits and seeing if I can overcome those limits," he says.
Thomas says preparing for the events takes time and dedication. The 40-year-old spends up to 24 hours a week training before each triathlon.
Thomas, who is now considered one of the top tri-athletes in the world, gives back by training others at his gym, Personal Training Professionals of Southport.
The father of three says he's already training for his next triathlon scheduled for June.
