An 89-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Torrington Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at Main and Lois streets near a McDonald's.
Police say Nellie Crowston, of Torrington, was diagonally crossing the street when she was hit. Crowston suffered a serious head injury and had to be flown to Hartford Hospital.
No charges have been filed against the driver, who was identified as Crystal Saint Hilaire, of Torrington.
