Electrical fire forces businesses to close

Two Stamford businesses closed for the evening after a fire in a strip mall on Sunday morning. Police say the blaze at the Eva Maria Variety store on East Main Street was caused by an electrical fire.

Two Stamford businesses closed for the evening after a fire in a strip mall on Sunday morning.
Police say the blaze at the Eva Maria Variety store on East Main Street was caused by an electrical fire.
The two businesses next to the store were forced to close for the evening because of smoke that came from the fire.
One of the businesses, Mi Terruno Restaurant, is expected to reopen in the next couple of days, there is no word on when the Variety store will reopen.
