From hybrids to fully off-the-gas-grid.
An all-electric future is on display at the New York International
Auto Show this week.
The Hyundai Ionic Six won world car of the year, world electric
car of the year and world car design of the year at the show.
Its makers say the best part of this car is how it can charge 10 to 80 percent
in just 18 minutes.
If you have a need for speed, the Ford Mach-E Mustang has all-wheel drive, two
motors onboard and about 480 horsepower.
If you are concerned about battery life, Nissan is offering a new “EV
Carefree+” service that includes one year of charging, enhanced checks on your
battery and scheduled maintenance.
“And let's say you get stuck right here, because you run out of
charge, no problem,” says Aditya Jairaj, senior director of EV strategy and
transformation at Nissan. “Someone will come and get you.”
