Emergency management officials in Greenwich say that they are taking every precaution to prepare for Tropical Storm Hermine.
The town says it started monitoring the storm Thursday morning. Since then, Greenwich Emergency Management Director Dan Warzoha says he has been on a webinar with the National Weather Service and state Office of Emergency Management.
He says Greenwich was preparing the beaches and its call lists earlier Friday, as residents were still enjoying the sunshine while it lasts. The town, Warzoha says, is preparing for a moderate to major nor'easter-like event that could cause some coastal flooding.
Warzoha says he will be part of another webinar with the National Weather Service on Saturday.
