Event venues in Connecticut began welcoming customers and guests back at full capacity Friday, with hopes that the summer and spring seasons will be busy.
In Westport, The Inn at Longshore typically hosts more than 300 events a year. In 2020, they only hosted 30.
They'll be able to host 200 guests outside and 100 guests inside with a few exceptions in the coming months, however.
"We're very, very excited," said Christine Hussey, who is with The Inn at Longshore.
Many staff members have already been vaccinated and will continue to wear masks, as well as guests.
"I think as vaccinations increase, hospitalizations decrease people will get more confidence to come out and celebrate together," Hussey said.
The Inn at Longshore is now booked every weekend from May to October.
