The oppressive weather is taking a toll on people who work outside.

News 12 spoke to Artistic Designs, a landscape company working in Trumbull Friday.

The company started working early to beat the heat.

The owner tells News 12 it's important for his employees to pace themselves by taking breaks, staying hydrated and drinking water.

He says safety is the most important thing.

The CDC warns that if people feel faint, they should stop what they're doing and get into a cool place.
