Beachfront residents in Fairfield met with state lawmakers and Connecticut's environmental commissioner to discuss how to stop the Long Island Sound from slowly creeping toward their homes.
Residents and officials discussed measures from planting sea grass to exotic underwater structures to slow the beach erosion.
"It can be a little scary when you see the water coming right up to the house and sometimes within a few feet of it and almost up to the deck," says resident David Cohen.
Officials say that they will look into possible studies or pilot programs to help slow the erosion.
