A prominent member of the Fairfield business community announced Sunday that he'll be giving out 200 turkeys on Tuesday.
Al DiGuido, owner of Saugatuck Sweets, says anyone who needs a turkey is welcome to stop by the business at 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. It is located at 28 Reef Road, and each family can have one turkey.
As the founder of Al's Angels - one of country's biggest toy charities - DiGuido has a philosophy about what's really important in life.
"The reason we are doing this is there's been such doom and gloom and chaos and all kinds of issues out there in the world these days, we wanted to make sure that no one loses the joy of the holidays -- no children and families that are impacted by COVID 19 loose the joy of the holiday season," he says.
DiGuido saying he hopes the giveaway will inspire other members of the local business community to give back this holiday season.
