A local Catholic high school says concerns over a play written by a teen led to false rumors of a threat at the school.
Notre Dame of Fairfield tells News 12 Connecticut that a student came to administrators out of concern over the apparent content of a script being written by a fellow student.
The principal says the administration and police investigated, and determined there was no threat to students or staff.
The school called a special assembly Wednesday morning and police assured students they were safe.
