For the first time in school history, the Fairfield Ludlowe softball team is a state champion. The Falcons upset three-time defending state champion Southington 5-2 Saturday night at Burrell Family Field at the University of Connecticut.

Staples High boys lacrosse, Fairfield Prep Rugby, Brookfield High baseball, and Weston boys lacrosse all captured state titles over the weekend as well.
