Anti-President Donald Trump and anti-police messages were spray painted on a Fairfield park playground, officials say.
Messages including, 'expletive Trump,' 'expletive the cops,' and 'defund the police,' were seen spray painted on the playground and pickleball courts at Tunxis Hill Park.
The worlds 'BLM,' 'XOXO' 'LGBT' and images of smiley faces were also found in the park.
The graffiti was discovered Monday by a couple who plays pickleball in the park, but police believe the incident happened sometime Sunday.
In a statement, First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick wrote, "It's always disappointing when town property is damaged, but it's particularly upsetting to have profanity and anti police comments written in a community park. I'm very disheartened by these actions."
Department of Public Works crews have since removed the graffiti.
