Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in Fairfield saw a stream of customers Monday afternoon for its first-ever, company-wide "Good Neighbor Day."
Each of Pepe's nine locations in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts will donate 10 percent of their total sales Monday to a different charity. The Fairfield location chose to donate to Operation Hope, a homeless services organization.
The Good Neighbor Days are held about once a month for individual Pepe's locations, raising money for everything from local charities to high school football teams.
Employees say Pepe's gives back to the communities because it is part of those communities.
