Fairfield police: Driver arrested in fatal Redding Road pedestrian crash

Police say 51-year-old Meghan Rice, of Newtown, turned herself into police headquarters Monday.

Fairfield police say the driver involved in the fatal pedestrian crash on Redding Road on June 23 has been arrested.

They say 51-year-old Meghan Rice, of Newtown, turned herself into police headquarters Monday.

Rice has been charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle in connection with the death of Meghan Raveis, who was struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of Redding Road on June 23.

Rice was released on a $100,000 bond and is due in court on July 31.
