Seven people, including a child, were rescued by Fairfield police Tuesday night as their vessel took in water near Penfield Reef.
Fairfield police say they received a call around 9:36 p.m. from a stranded boat that was taking in water and was without electricity.
The Fairfield Police Marine Unit located the boat near Penfield Reef and transferred the occupants onto a police vessel.
Police then towed the disabled boat to the South Benson Marina.
The Fairfield Fire Department assisted in transporting the boat's occupants back to shore.
No injuries were reported.
