Fairfield officials are preparing for Tropical Storm Isaias today.
A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Isaias which is expected to impact areas along the Connecticut coastline in Stamford, Norwalk, and Bridgeport beginning this afternoon and evening.
Officials are urging residents to bring in things like patio furniture.
They say if you live in low-lying areas that you'll want to move your cars to higher ground.
Should you lose power, you want to have a plan in place, and make sure you have enough batteries for your flashlights, and that your cellphones are fully charged.
Flooding is a concern during high tide. In Fairfield, high tide is at about 12:40 p.m.
The storm is expected to impact the area around 3 p.m. with heavy downpours and strong wind gusts up to 60 mph.
