Fairfield restaurant holds food drive to help those impacted by SNAP cuts
People in Fairfield can also donate non-perishable food items and grocery store gift cards in the lobby of Old Town Hall and both entrances of Sullivan Independence Hall in Fairfield Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fairfield Social Services is also collecting Stop & Shop and ShopRite grocery gift cards and monetary donations to benefit those in need.

5ds agoAmid the confusion over SNAP benefits, The Seagrape Cafe in Fairfield is helping those impacted.
Owner Peter Collins organized a food drive Saturday to help residents who no longer have access to SNAP.
Over 30 bags of food and toiletries were collected, along with over $650 in gift cards and cash donations.

All proceeds will go to area food pantries.
