Police in Fairfield want to make sure that people get to their destinations safely this Christmas - and this year, they did it in a festive way.
The Traffic Unit donned some Santa hats on Old Post Road Wednesday morning, reminding drivers not to speed and to watch out for pedestrians.
The town has seen several pedestrian crashes recently, including one that involved Operation Hope volunteer program manager Donna Schmidt, who was hit while walking to her car. She's still recovering in the ICU.
