A Fairfield University alumnus is going to lead Norwalk’s new minor league basketball team.

Troy Bradford was announced as the first head coach of the Connecticut Cobras.

The team begins playing in the basketball league starting in March 2022.

Bradford starred with the Stags before playing professionally overseas.

He averaged nearly 23 points a game during his junior year, which is still the school record.

The Hamden native is in the Fairfield University Hall of Fame and was Connecticut state player of the year at Wilbur Cross.
