Fairfield held its annual Sidewalk Sale and Street Fair Saturday along the Post Road and Sherman Green.

More than 50 business owners took part in the event, which also featured food and live music.

Participants say the event is an opportunity for people to experience the best that Fairfield has to offer.

"It's a beautiful event, there's so much going on and there's a lot of variety in vendors. It's not just one specific; it's not just clothing or accessories. I feel like people can really get a lot done being here. They can go get something to eat, they can go shopping, they can spend time with their friends and just obviously enjoy the nice weather that we have today," said Leah Gentile, the owner and operator of Viridian Boutique.
