The victims of last week's deadly blaze in Bridgeport were laid to rest Tuesday. Artulo Iselo, his wife Anayel and their 1-year-old son, Omar, were killed Friday in a fire on Fairfield Avenue. Firefighters found their bodies huddled together in the rubble of a bedroom. The medical examiner says the three died from smoke inhalation.
St. Peter?s Church was packed with family members and friends. The church was also decorated with Mexican flags to honor the Iselo?s home country.
The couple's two older sons were able to escape the fire and were treated for smoke inhalation. They are now staying with family members.
More than 20 people were displaced by the blaze. The fire destroyed two apartment buildings and a market.
