The family of a Bridgeport man who was killed the day after Thanksgiving is trying to raise money to his burial in Guatemala.
Norma Lemus, of Bridgeport, says she is heartbroken by the death of her son.
"I will never be the same without my beautiful boy," she told News 12 Monday.
Her son, 24-year-old Anthony Martinez, was killed when his car, which was traveling eastbound on Van Zant Street in Norwalk around 2 a.m. Saturday, struck a stone wall on East Avenue, according to police.
"We just want to know why it happened," Lemus said.
Police say Martinez was the only person in the car.
The family has started a GoFundMe to bury Martinez in Guatemala, where they are from.
