The family of Bridgeport's latest homicide victim spoke with News 12 Connecticut today about his life.
Police say 18-year-old Shane Slinsky died after he was shot twice in the head on Woods Terrace shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say Slinsky was from Stamford and didn't appear to have any ties to Bridgeport. Family members say they have no idea why Slinsky was in Bridgeport Saturday afternoon.
Slinsky's uncle describes him as a "total mama's boy." He lived with his mom in Stamford, and his family says he even got her name tattooed on his arm for his 18th birthday.
His family says he was a kind person who was always smiling.
Police are looking at surveillance videos taken from several different locations. They're also performing a forensic analysis on Slinsky's cellphone.
Police clarified today that they don't know what's behind his death either, but are investigating all motives.
Slinky's funeral will be held Saturday at Bosak Funeral Home in Stamford.
Anyone with information on his death is urged to call the police department's tip line.
